Helping our members thrive

We serve our members by providing a variety of programs that fulfill our organizational mission. We act as a resource to our members and offer a number of different benefits. 

Advocacy

MSCPVA advocates for our members and the disabled community by remaining tuned in to local and national disability issues. We remain actively vigilant in assisting and representing our members regarding anything affecting their civil rights when disability issues arise. MSCPVA maintains a vocal and visible presence on disability related issues in the community as well as on the state and federal levels, promoting fair opportunity and equal access.

MSCPVA serves to coordinate and communicate with the Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Health Center, and other veteran health services and its members and directly advocates for the care of its members inside the VA Medical Facilities across our 5 states.

Connection through Sports and Rec

We offer a variety of Sports and Rec Programing through our local community partners and our National Sports and REc program with PVA. 

We hold meetings of the general membership, and work with local partners to provide a varity of programing that helps our members get out and thrive. 

Membership Grants Program

MSCPVA offers Quality of Life Grants and Education Grants to its members and associate members. These grants directly increase the quality of life of our members, and our education grants help not only our members, but those who support our members.

MSCPVA manages and maintains its membership database and acts as a liaison between national membership applications and National Service Officers’ benefits claims. The MSCPVA also offers an associate member Program for volunteers, partners, corporate sponsors, and donors.

Resources

MSCPVA hosts an active website with service links to a variety of disability resources and disability organizations. 

MSCPVA produces a quarterly newsletter for all of it’s members and partners.

MSCPVA provides resources for career support and development to its members and associates. It does this through local community partners and the National PVA. 

Communication: MSCPVA communicates with its membership directly through its website, email, Constant Contact, and social media. 

MSCPVA maintains and can advocate for access to our National PVA resources and services for all of our members. 

MSCPVA fundraises for various sponsored programs. We accomplish this via our website donations, specific grant applications, and private donations. Money raised goes directly to support our programs, our members, and to sustain the ongoing needs of the organization.
