'

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD): Are you or your loved ones at risk?
'+
'
Military personnel, by the nature of their jobs, have a high risk of experiencing traumatic events that that can continuing to bother them for weeks, months, or even years afterwards. PTSD related problems such as difficulty falling and staying sleep, difficulty concentrating, flashbacks, nightmares, jumpiness, irritability, and nervousness can adversely affect their home live/marriage as well as their school/job performance.
'+
'
Fortunately, in many cases, these PTSD related symptoms gradually decrease over time. Unfortunately, for some veterans, these symptoms can be chronic, or even cause permanent problems. Veterans also have an over 90% life time risk for experiencing an unexpected, non-military related, traumatic event. This means that there is a high change chance Veterans will experience at least one traumatic event and when they do, PTSD related symptoms may resurface.
'+
'
Cheyenne VAMC psychiatrist Dr. David Fohrmanhas developed "Traumatic Stress Resiliency Training," a series designed to benefit Veterans and other members of the community interested in helping decrease the number of veterans with PTSD.
'+
'
The program takes a proactive approach to successful management of exposure to traumatic events.
'+
